Director’s Welcome Message
It is with a great pleasure that I welcome you to the Computer Courtyard, a sophisticated multimedia center located on the first floor of Building 2, Room 2100. The Computer Courtyard contains over 260 Dell Pentium4 computers, and 15 iMacs hosted within a networked environment that offers full internet access and multimedia facilities to students, faculty and staff.
The S.O.C.R.A.T.E.S. Tutoring Center and the Natural and Social Science Multimedia Lab are also part of the Computer Courtyard operation
The Courtyard offers a variety of technological resources including scanners and printers as well as a constantly growing library, containing numerous software titles. Videotapes, and CDs, are also available for viewing at the Natural and Social Science Multimedia Lab section. Tutoring services are provided in specialized areas such as Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and Natural and Social Sciences subject areas. Study tables inside the Courtyard are also available as a less formal environment for group study, etc.
Our mission is to “Empower students to succeed by providing access to educational resources, academic support and technology” within an environment conducive to group and individual study and support the interaction between students, faculty and learning assistants.
