Making Their Mark

Architectural model by MDC students
The Architecture Showcase featuring work by MDC students won praise from representatives of top firms.

Top architectural firms find talent at MDC

Miami Dade College’s Annual Architecture Showcase brought representatives from top-notch architectural firms to MDC’s Freedom Tower to scout for new talent. Their search proved fruitful at the exhibition of work by students and faculty across several disciplines. One interior design student was hired on the spot, and many others were scheduled for interviews.

MDC's School of Architecture and Interior Design has garnered acclaim by producing the region's next generation of professionals. A number of this year’s graduates were awarded scholarships at schools including Cornell University, Boston Architecture College, Pennsylvania State University and the Southern California Institute of Architecture.

Keeping ahead in a continually evolving industry, MDC students learn to design using the most cutting-edge software in the business, such as CATIA, Revit and ArchiCad.

Established in 1972, the School of Architecture offers classes at MDC’s Kendall, North and Wolfson campuses.
