Nine Days That Changed the World
Newt Gingrich, former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, recently brought his documentary, Nine Days That Changed the World, to MDC’s Tower Theater. Part biography and part documentary, the film produced by Gingrich tells how Pope John Paul II played a major role in Poland’s nonviolent transition away from communism. For those attending the screening, including the general public along with local and national leaders, this inspiring story offered important lessons on how one person can make a world of difference by peacefully confronting a problem with steadfast determination.
