MDC alumnus and Hall of Fame inductee chosen city of Miami manager
He’s always been good with numbers. Even while studying at MDC in the early 70s, Carlos Migoya was working as a teller at Boulevard National Bank. That job was just the start of a 40-year career in the banking industry, and now he’s set to tackle a citywide financial challenge as the new City of Miami Manager, foregoing a salary of more than $300,000.
"One of the things I hope to bring to the city is urgency," Migoya told The Miami Herald upon learning of his appointment.
Throughout his career, Migoya held key management positions, most recently as the regional president at Wachovia Bank. He also served on the board at AutoNation.
MDC congratulates Migoya on his stellar career and service to his community.
