Five MDC Professors Receive Excellence Awards
Five Miami Dade College professors, whose work has defined the best in teaching and learning practices, have been selected to receive the prestigious 2011 Excellence Awards from The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD).
NISOD is an international consortium of more than 700 colleges and universities. Each year since 1989, NISOD member presidents have selected individuals who represent the very best in community college education.

Since its inception in 1978, NISOD has emphasized the importance of teaching, leadership and encouraging students to excel. NISOD has worked to serve, engage and inspire teachers through conferences, programs, publications and partnerships.
