MDC faculty, staff and students took part in the Moving Planet>Ride On! event.

Pedal Power

MDC’s Earth Ethics Institute recently brought attention to the many ways we can free ourselves from reliance on fossil fuels during a 13-mile bike ride through downtown Miami and Miami Beach. The Moving Planet>Ride On! event was part of a worldwide day calling for a fossil fuel-free world, with hundreds of thousands participating in nearly 2,000 events around the globe. MDC faculty, staff and students made up the core of the Miami event’s pedalers. They were joined by cyclists from Emerge Miami, which helped organize the event.
