Hand in Hand with HUD
MDC Provost Dr. Rolando Montoya, left, and John Trasviña, assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), shake hands at the recent Fair Housing Partnership signing ceremony. The agreement unites both entities with the goal of educating students about housing laws and preparing them for careers in civil rights and public service. At the ceremony, Trasviña recognized MDC’s role as an agent of change for civil rights in Miami-Dade County.
