Tower Goes Pink for a Cause
MDC's iconic Freedom Tower was illuminated in pink for breast cancer awareness.
For the second consecutive year, the iconic Freedom Tower at Miami Dade College joined prominent landmarks across the globe in being illuminated in pink to raise awareness for breast cancer. MDC officials joined representatives from Estée Lauder Cos., which sponsors the worldwide initiative, for a special lighting ceremony and to spread the life-saving message about the importance of breast health and early detection. These monuments have become international symbols of hope and continue to empower and enlighten millions of people in more than 70 countries with this annual event.
