Business students at Miami Dade College learned vital lessons in leadership and success from entertainment mogul and MDC alumnus Emilio Estefan. The 19-time Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter who created Miami Sound Machine recently visited the College to speak to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management degree program.
“It’s an honor to have a person of his experience to come to speak to Dr. Rolando Ochoa’s leadership class,” said Dr. Ana Cruz, chair of Wolfson Campus’ School of Business. “His presence has really motivated the students to continue and be persistent in obtaining their goals.”
Focusing on a variety of topics vital to helping aspiring entrepreneurs achieve their dreams, Estefan discussed leadership characteristics, ways to deal with difficult people, managing a business and finding the elusive balance between professional and personal life.
