Making Their Mark

Top of the Class

Miami Dade College recently inducted another impressive class into its Alumni Hall of Fame at the 11th annual gala held at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. These graduates have excelled in every type of industry, but their common denominator is the many professional accomplishments they have attained since earning degrees from MDC. They have risen to the highest levels in their fields, making notable contributions to their companies and the community along the way. In addition to recognizing their achievements, this event raised more than $600,000 in scholarship funds for MDC students. Past inductees include actor Andy García, music industry mogul Emilio Estefan, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz, former Dolphins wide receiver Nat Moore, Carnival Chairman Micky Arison, U.S. Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Ambassador Paul Cejas, real estate developer Jorge Pérez and attorney César Alvarez, among other distinguished leaders across America.
