Sharing the Possibilities

Graduation cap and diploma

Miami Dade College is lending its support to a significant new scholarship program for Hispanic students in partnership with The Coca-Cola Company and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). The Share Possibilities program will offer scholarship opportunities upwards of $200,000 to Latinos with the aim of closing the college attainment gap.

MDC and HSF, the nation’s leading Hispanic scholarship organization, have been teaming up for years and hosting town-hall meetings in an effort to make college more affordable.

“Our priority this year is to continue our work to close the opportunity divide that exists for so many people in our community,” said Dr. José A. Vicente, president of Wolfson Campus, which hosted an event announcing the new endeavor. “Education, especially at the post-secondary level, has become synonymous with economic prosperity and mobility.”
