A Most Royal Occasion

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe de Borbón and Princess Letizia Ortiz of Asturias recently visited Miami Dade College to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Ponce de León’s discovery of Florida and the rich influences of Hispanic heritage throughout the state and nation. They also participated in the 30th anniversary of Miami Book Fair International, in which Spain was the featured country and presented MDC President Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón with the prestigious Juan Ponce de León 500th Anniversary Award.
