Great Education at an Unbeatable Cost

As the nation’s economy rebounds and a shaky job market finds its footing, the value of education has come front and center. Thanks to an extraordinarily low in-state tuition that is 60 percent cheaper than the national average for a public four-year tuition, according to CollegeCalc, Miami Dade College has made it possible for workers to keep an edge and jobseekers to up their skills in the toughest of times. The College’s tuition is also far below the Florida’s State University System (SUS) average.

MDC alleviates the burden further for high-achieving students from Miami-Dade County with its American Dream Scholarship, which covers the cost of the first two years of tuition. In addition, with a student body that is 67 percent low-income, the majority of MDC students find their tuition covered by Pell Grants.
