A Scholar in Our Midst

MDC student Ariel L. Gutiérrez was named a 2015 Pearson Scholar, winning scholarship funds toward the cost of first completing an associate degree and then a bachelor’s degree.

One of only 10 students nationwide selected for the prestigious award, Gutiérrez is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society and attends The Honors College at North Campus.

In addition to the scholarship funds, Pearson Scholars are paired with a Pearson Mentor and receive complimentary access to Pearson textbooks and digital access codes.
