Competing in Rio this summer was MDC alumna Paige McPherson, who had won a bronze in women’s taekwondo under 67 kg category at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

This year a mother’s dreams for her daughter were fulfilled when Brianna Rollins won the gold in the women’s 100-meter hurdles. That proud moment was celebrated at the fall convocation at MDC’s Medical Campus, where Brianna’s mother Temperance Rollins works as a public safety officer.
