MDC student chapter of Propeller Club

Propelled to Excel

Earlier this year at Wolfson Campus, Miami Dade College celebrated the inauguration of its student chapter of the Propeller Club Chapter. The MDC group is under the auspices of the Miami Propeller Club, which in turn is a member of the International Propeller Club of the United States. The organization is dedicated to the enhancement and well-being of all interests of the maritime community on a national and international basis. By partnering with similar affiliations, the MDC Propeller Club enhances the academic and career opportunities of students interested in trade and logistics, including those completing the MDC Associate of Science in Transportation and Logistics and the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supply Chain Management. The launch of the MDC chapter was attended by community leaders along with students, faculty and staff from several of the College’s campuses, including Wolfson, Homestead and Kendall. The joyful event was made possible through the generosity of Jorge Rovirosa and Dr. Ed Baker.
