Google Brings Academy to MDC

Google is launching an exciting new pilot program with The Idea Center at MDC in an effort to help develop in-demand marketing skills through partnerships with colleges and universities.

The new six-week Google Analytics Academy – the first of its kind in the U.S. – will empower participants with new marketing and analytics skills learned through hands-on, practical experience. The program will provide preparation for the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ) certification, which is widely recognized and sought in the digital marketing industry.

Led by instructor Michael Schott, one of the leading digital marketers in South Florida, the Academy is open to the public, including entrepreneurs; people who want to learn to generate leads through Google Analytics; marketing professionals, especially those who were not trained in digital marketing; students who are preparing for their first job; and other professionals who want to add 21st century skills to their arsenal. Regardless of skill levels, students will benefit from the ability to work on an actual demo account and network with others in the course.

“We are really excited to launch this initiative,” said Idea Center Executive Director Leandro Finol. “It will allow MDC students and the community to get certified in Google Analytics and be part of the fast-growing digital marketing industry.”
