Shultz wins "Professor of the Year" award
Dr. Sandra Schultz, a professor in the health and wellness department at Miami Dade College’s North Campus, has been tabbed the 2009 Florida Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

Credit card law could affect students
The act, scheduled to start in February of 2010, restricts advertising of credit cards on college campuses and adds limitations to students- particularly those between the ages of 18 and 21- when applying for credit cards.
