New Opportunity for Masters Degrees

Miami Dade College held a signing ceremony for the cooperative agreement with St. Thomas University in the North Campus’ School of Justice Building on July 31. The agreement allows all MDC Public Safety Management baccalaureate degree graduates to transfer to St. Thomas University to complete a master’s degree in science management.

The agreement, the first of it’s kind for MDC, according to Monsignor Franklin M. Casale, St. Thomas University President” will develop our community’s potential leaders through a mixture of theory and practice in organizational change and management.”

The program is also extended to high school student enrolled in dual enrollment courses at MDC.

Miami Dade College Expands

President Barack Obama recently signed the Miami Dade College (MDC) Land Conveyance Act H. R. 838 into law.

The MDC Land Conveyance Act will transfer 47,500 square feet of land from the U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons to Miami Dade College.

The parcel of land is located in downtown Miami adjacent to the Wolfson Campus, and will be used for expansion of the college.

The act was introduced by Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and supported by the entire South Florida delegation.
