Two Men Arrested After Gun Threat at USF

On Oct 5, two men were arrested after police investigated a false threat at the University of South Florida Tampa campus, stating that there was a gunman on campus.
Markenson Innocent, a USF graduate, called 911 reporting there was a man at the campus library with a gun and a bomb.
Campus police responded by following protocol, as they forced students to stay indoors for about three hours.
A second man, Vincent Thomas-Perry McCoy, was also responsible for the false threat. Authorities said he stood up on a campus bus as he claimed to be holding a bomb.
Both Innocent and McCoy face a felony charge of making a false report concerning a bomb on the USF campus.
