On Tuesday, Oct. 27 Andre Etienne barely avoided a fatal accident with Miami-Dade Transit bus 75 on East Road.
When the stopped bus departed from the bus stop, Etienne, 18, attempted to make a right turn in his silver Honda Accord around the bus, at the same time the bus departed resulting in a gridlock.
Etienne, radiology major said that he was late for his class and after two cars drove around the bus he tried to do the same, until another car cut him off forcing him to stop in front of the bus.
According to the bus driver, D. Batten the incident will be evaluated by a Miami-Dade Transit accident grading panel who will determine who was at fault. No students were hurt in the accident.
