The Student Government Association at the North Campus is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide a home-like atmosphere for seriously ill or injured children.
Revenue collected from the pop tabs will be used to help pay for the stay of families. The tabs are easy to collect, and easily removed by twisting them back and forth until they break off.
SGA has set a goal of collecting 12, 000 pop tabs by the end of the fall semester. Since the summer SGA has been collecting cans from the cafeteria, at campus events and from their homes.
Currently, SGA has received more than 7,025 tabs. The tabs can be dropped off at the in Room 4204. The Ronald McDonald House is a way to connect with the community, expand public awareness, and help the environment.
