Chess team has hit a 'dry spell'

Rene Garcia was hopeful as he traveled 1,116 miles from Miami-Dade County to Brownsville, Texas with his chess team for the Pan American Intercollegiate Chess Tournament on Dec. 27-30.

Goodbye 2009, hey there 2010...

If 2009 can be summed up in one word for Miami Dade College, it would be “progress.” MDC has had to deal with both its ups and downs over the course of the year. Amidst a major financial crisis, MDC prevailed earning a lot of recognition and making countless accomplishments.
