Borrowing Policy

Borrowing Privileges

All Miami Dade College Libraries are open to the public, but borrowing privileges are limited to patrons in the following categories:

Borrower TypeRequired ID
Currently registered MDC students/Fulltime EmployeesMDC Card
MDC alumni (must be paid members of MDC Alumni Network)MDC Alumni Network Card
MDC part-time employeesMDC Card with letter from supervisor or department chairperson verifying employment for current semester
Florida SUS (State University System), retirees and Community College System borrowersValid ID from home institution


Reciprocal Borrowing (using your card in other libraries) 

A valid MDC Card may be used for borrowing privileges at the libraries of all Florida Community Colleges and Florida State Universities.




Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
