Submit documentation of high school graduation or GED.

• If you graduated from a Florida public high school, MDC will electronically request your transcripts. However, you are responsible for ensuring that the College receives your documentation.
• If you attended a private, out-of-state, or out-of-country high school, please have your transcript sent directly to:

Meet with an advisor.

• Contact an advisor at the Medical Center Campus to obtain program information.

• Visit the the testing department to take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).

You may be exempt from the test

• You may be exempt from the TABE if you:
  • have already earned an associate's degree
  • have earned adequate scores on the FCAT, SAT, ACT or CPT/PERT
• Check with your advisor for details.

Apply for financial aid and scholarships.

• You may be eligible for financial assistance but you won't know unless you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
• Even if you don't qualify for federal assistance, you may still qualify for other types of financial aid. Your campus financial aid coordinator can help you identify these opportunities.
