Two Shores Series Presented by MDC's InterAmerican Campus Returns with Guitar Concert and Art Exhibition

Miami, Tuesday, May 27, 2008 - Back by popular demand, Miami Dade College (MDC)’s InterAmerican Campus, in collaboration with the National Association of Cuban American Educators (NACAE), presents a guitar concert and art exhibit as part of its monthly Two Shores Series, on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the Tower Theater.
The guitar concert will include an interpretation of several classical Latin numbers played by Dr. René Gonzalez, chairperson of the guitar department at the University of Miami’s (UM) School of Music and his former student José Alfredo Fernández, as well as other graduate students from the UM School of Music.
Coordinated by MDC’s Dr. Mercedes Cros Sandoval, the Spanish-only event will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the evening’s program at 7 p.m.
A collective art project produced by W-10 (a group of 10 women), the I Do, 2 exhibition will be on display at the Tower Theater’s gallery from Thursday, June 26 through Saturday, July 6. Admission to the event is free and metered parking is free only after 6 p.m.
