MDC’s Schools of Community Education and Business Joins Partnership to Launch Center for Service Excellence

The Center for Service Excellence is one of MDC's latest service-oriented ventures. The new program, to be launched Oct. 16, will link the college in a powerful alliance with major organizations such as the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers, several local chambers of commerce, and many others.

Miami, Tuesday, October 07, 2008 - Service excellence is at the core of any successful organization or business. It must exist at every level of a company. As successful as the greater Miami region has been in attracting and retaining business, the success rate can be even better with a sustained, unified service excellence front convening business, community and educational organizations.

That is why Miami Dade College (MDC) is announcing the launch of its brand new Center for Service Excellence (CSE) at the annual meeting of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau on Thurs., Oct. 16, 2008.

An initiative of MDC’s School of Community Education and School of Business at Kendall Campus, the CSE provides important training to all employment levels in organizations from entry to top management. Courses, seminars and certificate programs include Introduction to Customer Service Excellence, Customer Assistance Technology, Conversational Spanish for the Service Industry, Recovering from Negative Encounters, Changing the Customer Service Culture and many other dynamic and innovative classes and symposia. In addition, the CSE will recognize local companies and organizations for service excellence 

CSE partner organizations include the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Chamber South, the West Kendall Business Association, the Doral Business Council, the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers, the South Florida Center for Financial Training and the Doubletree Grand Hotel with more coming aboard each month.
