Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce Honors MDC President at Third Annual Gala

Miami, December 9, 2008 - Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón, President of Miami Dade College, was honored at the Third Annual Holiday Gala of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Miami Dec. 6 for his outstanding contributions to the Chamber and to the greater Miami community.

“The Chamber has a long history of working with Miami Dade College and we are excited to present this award to Dr. Padrón for his continued support of small businesses in Miami-Dade County,” said Bill Diggs, president of the Chamber.

The gala honored the accomplishments of top minority professionals and businesses in South Florida. Dr. Padrón was honored with a Distinguished Service Award. Attorneys H.T. Smith and Marilyn Hollifield were also honored.
