Discover Your Inner Actor with Prometeo Theatre’s Acting Classes
Miami, September 4, 2009 - Have you always dreamed of performing in Spanish on stage, film or television? Do you enjoy local theater, or have a great idea for a movie script? Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Prometeo Theatre, a component of the renowned Florida Center for the Literary Arts (FCLA), is the place to get started. It is the nation’s most respected Spanish-language theater school.
This fall, Prometeo is offering four new classes and a new class schedule. Discovering the Theatre takes the student from the classroom to the theater. Students can appreciate first-hand how a show is composed as they see various local performances. The Singing Voice and the Speaking Voice connects techniques for singing with the ability to project and articulate on stage. Discovering the Actor in You is a course for beginners who have always wanted to try acting. Lastly, Scriptwriting for Film and Television is a course to help students develop their story ideas for film and TV. Other important courses are being offered as well.
Prometeo’s Spanish-language adult classes run in the evenings and Saturdays, from Sept. 12 – Dec. 10. The Theatre is located at MDC’s Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave., Building 1, First floor.
