Miami, November 25, 2009 - The art of sushi-making has become such a closely-watched trend these days that people of all ages are clamoring to learn how to prepare the popular delicacy. To support this demand, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Office of Alumni Relations has organized an event designed to teach trendsetters how to make it in The Art of Sushi-Making for Beginners class, being held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at the Red Koi Thai and Sushi Lounge in Coral Gables.

A cocktail reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the session will begin at 7 p.m.

Red Koi Chef Chris Chung will lead the interactive session by teaching attendees the process of rice preparation, how to select key ingredients, and much more.

Guests may also purchase select appetizers and drinks at a special rate until 8:30 p.m. This event is open to the general public and costs $10 per person.
