Miami, June 17, 2010 - This fall term, Miami Dade College (MDC) will launch four new baccalaureate degrees in electronics engineering, film, television and digital production, physician assistant studies, and supervision and management. The new degree programs, in addition to the existing bachelor’s degrees available in education, nursing and public safety, prepare students for jobs in-demand.

In addition, the Wolfson Campus will begin offering an accelerated degree option. The curriculum is designed in a blended format to include both classroom and online courses. This will allow students to complete an Associate in Arts in business administration or an Associate in Science in computer information technology in just one year.

With more than 300 major areas of study, eight campuses, a major outreach center and other sites, and a growing Virtual College, MDC is the first step toward a prosperous future.

In addition to its renowned academic programs, MDC will once again present its beloved Miami Book Fair International this fall. This school year also marks the College’s 50th Anniversary. Check the MDC website regularly to learn more about college news and upcoming events, or get the latest MDC news on Facebook and Twitter!
