MDC Prometeo Theatre Announces Auditions for its Professional Training Program in Theatre Arts

Miami, February 8, 2011 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed Prometeo Theatre, offering the country’s only institutional Spanish-language conservatory-style actor training program, will hold auditions for its competitive Three-Year Professional Actor Training Program on Wednesday, Feb. 16, by appointment only.
This program is for actors interested in preparing for a career in theatre and film. This is a six-semester commitment that includes professional workshops; staged readings; internships; and classes in acting, voice, movement and theatre history with leading international industry professionals.
In addition, students selected for the program form part of Prometeo’s student theatre company, which has toured around the world and received international acclaim.
Students auditioning should be prepared to present a one-minute monologue of their choice in Spanish. Applications are available online at www.prometeotheatre.com. There is a $15 non-refundable registration fee.
