MDC’s Miami Culinary Institute Offers New Season of Exciting and Exquisite Culinarium Enthusiast Classes
Miami, January 30, 2012 - The Miami Culinary Institute (MCI) at Miami Dade College (MDC) is rolling out another season of cooking and baking classes as part of its popular Culinarium Enthusiast Learning Series. Learn to chop, frost, brew beer, sample wines, and more, from the world’s top food industry and nutrition professionals. Classes are ongoing through April 2012.
Highlights include several classes on cake baking and decorating, under the guidance of acclaimed pastry Chef Max Santiago. Various wine tasting classes will be offered by boutique wine shoppe co-owner Jeffrey Wolfe, advanced sommelier John Mayfield and advanced sommelier Sarah Brownell. Also, learn to craft your own beers with beer expert Larry Goeser.
In addition, the Culinarium offers three levels of Basic Cooking Skills, as well as Food Handlers and Food Managers certifications. For health and wellness, internationally-renowned nutritionist Lisa Dorfman teaches three different courses of Performance Nutrition for health, sports and life.
