Miami Dade College Students Once Again Win Big at Phi Beta Lambda’s 2012 National Competition

Miami, July 10, 2012 - Miami Dade College (MDC) students have earned an impressive track record in Phi Beta Lambda’s (PBL) state and national competitions over the years. This year, 27 MDC students from the Kendall, InterAmerican and Wolfson campuses won several awards in various categories, placing them high above strong competitors from top U.S. colleges and universities at PBL’s 2012 National Competition and Leadership Conference held in Texas last month.   

In the competition, the students participated in various teams that performed tasks relevant to a business field, such as client service, fundraising, and project management. Kendall Campus’ Integrated Marketing Team placed first in this year’s competition.

Free Enterprise Project
    2nd place: Samantha Fernandez, David Omachonu and Gabriel Crespo

Integrated Marketing
   1st place: Matthew Stephens, Alyssa Gutierrez, Anabel Fernandez

Macroeconomics
   8th place: Eric Kuhn

Small Business Management
   2nd place: Andrew Gonzalez, Maria Moscoso and Gustavo Pacheco

Statistical Analysis
   8th place: Nicholas Lucas

Strategic Analysis and Decision making - Senior level exam
   6th place: Julienne Herrera, Carlos Canales and Sergi Hinds
