Miami Dade College’s Eig-Watson School of Aviation Takes Children on a “Holiday Flight to Remember” Dec. 5
Miami, November 28, 2012 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Homestead Campus will present the 10th Annual Eig-Watson School of Aviation’s Holiday Flight to Remember on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Tamiami Airport.
This holiday party benefits the less fortunate children of Miami-Dade County who will see Santa and his helpers exit an airplane full of toys. The party, gifts and Santa’s arrival are all a surprise for them. Students collect and wrap all the toys and treat children to a tour of airport facilities before the party and surprises start.
“We are excited to create a special memory in the lives of children during this magical time of the year,” said Dr. Jeanne Jacobs, president of the Homestead Campus. “A Holiday Flight to Remember is a great opportunity to leave a lasting impression about Miami Dade College and inspires the kids to reach for the stars.”
