HAGENBACH LARGE

Acclaimed Vocalist, Angela Hagenbach

Miami, March 5, 2013 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Arts and Philosophy Department continues its successful jazz series, Jazz at Wolfson Presents, at noon, Wednesday, March 20, featuring acclaimed vocalist, Angela Hagenbach.

This Kansas City native’s versatile repertoire includes everything from swinging, straight-ahead jazz and blues, to sensual, rhythmic Latin Jazz. Her lush contralto spans a range of nearly three octaves and her rich life experiences contribute to the original compositions and lyrics featured on her recordings.

Widely known as a masterful interpreter of great songs written from the likes of Duke Ellington to Antonio Carlos Jobim, Hagenbach is an acclaimed songwriter as well. Her compositions have been featured in motion pictures. The former fashion model has appeared as an artistic/clinician at festivals, jazz clubs and educational institutions globally, and has represented the U.S. twice as a cultural jazz ambassador during the Clinton administration. She also performs commercials and jingles for radio and television.
