MDC’s Miami Culinary Institute Uncorks a Sampling of France’s Best Beaujolais Wines with a Delightful Food Pairing, March 6, 2013
Miami, March 4, 2013 - Benjamin Franklin is quoted as saying, “The discovery of a wine is of greater moment than the discovery of a constellation. The universe is too full of stars.” Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Miami Culinary Institute (MCI) will showcase some of France’s biggest wine stars from the Beaujolais region with scrumptious food pairings, during Beaujolais: Paradise for Foodies Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the MCI building on Wolfson Campus.
Participants will indulge in a sampling of wine from the Beaujolais Cru - the northernmost appellation of Beaujolais - with mouth-watering culinary delights, that are as diverse as they are delicious. This very special wine pairing event is an opportunity to taste each of the ten Beaujolais Cru wines and learn about their flavor profiles as they relate to food. MCI has created each of the seminar’s dishes to reflect the origin and terroir (area) of the Beaujolais region, and to complement its Cru, which differ from commune to commune.
Master Sommelier, Charles Curtis, Chairman of the Events Committee for the Institute of Masters of Wine, North America; John Richards, Director of the Miami Culinary Institute; and Anthony Collet, Marketing and Communications Director of Inter Beaujolais will lend their expertise during this exquisite celebration of wine and gastronomy.
