MDC Wolfson Campus to host Student Industry Conferences for the STEM Academies and the Academies of Finance

Miami, April 26, 2013 - Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Wolfson Campuswill host student industry conferences for National Academy Foundation (NAF) STEM and Academy of Finance students from participating schools and interested business partners. The conferences will take place Monday and Tuesday, May 6 – 7, at the Wolfson Campus Chapman Conference Center.

These student industry conferences are part of an ongoing effort to provide Academy students with an insight into the importance of college and career readiness, while sharing information about professional career preparation and trends in the fields of finance, engineering, information technology and health sciences.

Students will have the opportunity to hear from business and industry leaders. President and CEO of CareCloud Corporation Alberto Santalo and Chief Popsicle of Feverish Ice Cream and Gourmet PopsFelecia Hatcher are two of the keynote speakers, among other respected professionals who will share career highlights with students.  

This initiative is also aligned with the school district’s partnership and involvement in the One Community One Goal targeted Industry Implementation Plan.
