Belly Dance Show 4

Miami, April 29, 2013 - A Miami Dade College (MDC) springtime tradition returns as the Kendall Campus presents its annual Belly Dance Show, Arabia, A Journey Through Dance at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.

Composed of student and professional performers from the Middle Eastern Culture and Arts Program at MDC Kendall Campus’ School of Continuing Education and Professional Development, this year the show features more than 60 dancers ages 13 to 60, from beginner to advanced levels.

Arabia, a Journey Through Dance is directed and choreographed by renowned Middle Eastern dancer, choreographer and instructor Samay, of Samay Performing Arts. She has performed for well-known companies, including Disney and Carnival Cruise Lines. In 1997, Samay and MDC's Kendall Campus began the successful Middle Eastern Dance program, which captures the artistry of this unique dance and continues to captivate audiences with music and movement.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Kendall Campus, Building 5, Rooms 5101 and 5127. A limited number of tickets will also be available for sale the day of the event.
