Miami, August 12, 2013 -

As Miami Dade College (MDC) prepares for the start of another new and exciting academic year, the college will welcome the incoming Wolfson Campus American Dream Scholars (ADS) Class of 2015 at the ADS Welcome Convocation, at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug.  21. The convocation will take place at MDC’s downtown Wolfson Campus and is open to students, their guests and the working media.

Scholars will have the opportunity to meet MDC faculty, staff, mentors and advisors along with new and returning Scholars. One of the goals is to have MDC’s “Community of Scholars” become better acquainted with the many resources and opportunities available at the college that will allow them to have continued success as they embark on the first steps in their higher education journey.

All ADS receive two-year, 60-credit tuition-free scholarship/grant awards that will allow them to complete their associate in arts or associate in science degree in their chosen career-related pathway programs.
