Miami Dade College Medical Campus Announces Public/Private Partnership Opportunity
Miami, August 28, 2013 -
Through a dynamic public/private partnership, Miami Dade College (MDC) seeks to develop a parcel of land at its Medical Campus for an innovative mixed-use project, which will incorporate the college’s educational programming needs at the Medical Campus, as well as enhance the City of Miami’s Central Medical District. Interested proposers – such as Construction and commercial developers, architects, financiers, real estate developers – are invited to a Pre-Proposal Meeting at
10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Medical Campus.
MDC is accepting letters of interest from parties with sufficient financial means and experience to develop this new project endeavor. The 4.5 acre area is currently being used as a flat surface parking lot. It’s exact location is 1000 N.W. 20 St., west of the main Medical Campus building, bordered by N.W. 20 St. to the north, N.W. 19 St. to the south, N.W. 10 Ave. to the east, and the Jackson Memorial Hospital Parking garage to the west side of the site.
At a minimum, the college seeks to develop a proposed Medical Campus Expansion Building and a garage building. Examples of potential compatible uses for the mixed-use development include a hotel, conference center, medical office building, residential building, and retail component.
Interested parties may download the Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) No. 2014-21-9 - Public/Private Partnership for the Medical Campus at the MDC Purchasing Department’s Website: www.mdc.edu/purchasing. To access the form, click on “Bid Posting” and then select the ITN 2014-21-9 section.
