Miami Dade College 2014 Fall Registration Now Open!
Classes start Monday, August 25
Miami, June 20, 2014 -
Registration for the fall term at Miami Dade College (MDC) is now open. Students are encouraged to register early, as classes are expected to fill quickly. Registration will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 24.
MDC kicks off the fall semester with three new programs to prepare students for rapidly growing, in-demand careers – a Bachelor of Applied Science in supply chain management, a Bachelor of Science in information systems technology and a Funeral Director certificate program.
The Bachelor of Applied Science in supply chain management will help cultivate skilled workers for the broad range of jobs that will emerge with the county’s rapidly-expanding trade and logistics industry. The information systems technology degree program will prepare students to graduate with the critical skills and knowledge to support the design, planning and management of information infrastructures and resources within diverse organizational settings. Funeral directors arrange the details and handle the logistics of funerals, assist the family in establishing the location, date, and time of wakes, memorial services, and burials.
Other MDC bachelor’s degree options include biological sciences; electronics engineering; film, television & digital production; nursing; several education tracks; physician assistant studies; public safety; and supervision and management. The college’s seven campuses and two outreach centers offer more than 300 academic pathways leading to baccalaureate degrees, associate in arts and science degrees and numerous career training certificates, as well as a growing Virtual College.
In addition to academic programs, MDC will once again present its beloved Miami Book Fair International and Miami International Film Festival, among many exciting art and culture events. Check the MDC website regularly to learn more about college news and upcoming events.
Please note MDC’s new Priority Registration system is also in effect, which allows early registration by appointment to assist students who need specific courses to graduate. Students can register, pay for classes, check course availability, print schedules, and more at www.mdc.edu. On-line service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A $30 non-refundable fee is charged for processing first-time applications.
Registration on or after Monday, August 25, will only be available with instructor or department approval. A $50 late fee applies.
