Miami Dade College Offers Virtual General Education Courses for Air Force Members
Miami, July 29, 2014 -
Miami Dade College (MDC) has partnered with the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to offer online general education courses for Airmen through its General Education Mobile (GEM) program. The courses are required by CCAF in order to obtain an Associate in Applied Science degree.
The GEM program is a partnership between CCAF and a network of civilian academic institutions that provide general education courses online, helping Air Force officers complete their college education from anywhere, anytime.
In addition, all active duty and veterans can register for classes at MDC, including its Virtual College, and pay in-state tuition with supporting documentation. Family members and spouses of military personnel will also be granted in-state tuition with an approved contract.
MDC was chosen as a 2014 Military-Friendly School ® by Victory Media, Inc., a veteran-owned business founded in 2001 that has led the industry as a ratings entity for more than a decade. MDC was recognized for its commitment to bolster the policies, efforts, and results used to recruit and retain military and veteran students. The College also received accolades for its academic credibility, tuition assistance, and military support on campus, among other factors.
