Time to Rest and Rejoice
The holiday season is a true global celebration, with as many unique traditions as there are countries.
Whether the holidays bring to mind gifts, carols, feasts, fir trees or Yule logs, the spirit of this time of year rarely changes. This festive season exudes the presence of good will towards all, of peace, and of giving.
The most treasured gift I receive each winter break is the gift of time – quality time to spend and celebrate with my family and friends.
We, at Miami Dade, are on the eve of a much deserved two-week respite; and as 2006 comes to a close, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your hard work this year.
I would also like to wish all of you, and your loved ones, a safe and happy holiday season. May you rejoice in the memories of 2006 and the possibilities of 2007.
