International Village at Miami Book Fair International Debuts Thursday Evening

It's not often that you can stay in the comfort of home and yet tour the world. Miami Book Fair's International Village offers that kind of journey. Please join us for the opening ceremony of the International Village on Thursday, November 16, at 6:30pm.

The Fair is proud to introduce the art, literature and folklore of Spain, featuring Madrid, Andalucia and the Canary Islands; Haiti, Israel, and the Dominican Republic, along with Miami's sister cities, Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, and Qingdao, China.

The opening ceremonies will include a performance by the Frederick Bratcher and Company Dancers. Music and dance continues on Saturday and Sunday during the Street Fair weekend of November 17-19 on the World Stage at the International Village. Brazilian dance, Haitian carnival drumming, and traditional dance from the Canary Islands are just a few highlights scheduled for the World Stage.

Log on to International Village for the full array of activities.

Thank you.
