Miami Dade College will once again celebrate a select gathering of our most distinguished alumni at the Fifth Annual Alumni Hall of Fame Awards gala on the evening of Thursday, April 12. The 6:00 p.m. ceremony will take place at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Miami and will celebrate the career achievements of 27 accomplished alumni, working in such fields as business, architecture, engineering, entertainment, health care, public service and more.

Among the alumni to be honored are: Mayor of Miami-Dade County Carlos Alvarez, North Miami Police Chief Gwendolyn Boyd, Coral Gables Fire Rescue Chief Richard Cook, Great Florida Bank president Mehdi Ghomeshi, architect Ana Alleguez, Mega TV hostess Maria Elvira Salazar, and artist Carlos Betancourt. This year's Hall of Fame luminaries have demonstrated their commitment to public service and the betterment of our community and nation.

Individual tickets to the Hall of Fame cocktail reception and dinner are $250. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Alumni Association Student Scholarship Fund.
