Miami Dade College to Host Free Financial-Aid Workshops, Sunday, Feb. 25

Miami Dade College will host free financial-aid workshops at the Wolfson, Kendall and North Campuses, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, in support of the local community.

Aptly titled "College Goal Sunday," the statewide program features onsite financial-aid experts to assist college-bound students and their families in completing the complex FAFSA forms necessary to gain access to the billions in funds the federal government allocates to higher education.

The Wolfson Campus session will be held in Room 1261 of Building 1, the Kendall Campus session in Room 8117 of Building 8, and the North Campus session in Room 2102-8 of Building 2.

Please encourage new and returning students who need financial aid for college to stop by College Goal Sunday. Assistance and information will be provided in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole. Students who attend are also eligible to enter a drawing for a $500 scholarship to the college or university of their choice.

Thank you to Ana Sarasti, MDC’s college-wide director of financial aid; and to Jean Daphnis, Wolfson Campus director of financial aid; Mercedes Amaya, Kendall Campus director of financial aid; and Chimene Garrison, North Campus director of financial aid, for taking the lead in bringing this important educational resource to Miami-Dade County.

Thank you.

Eduardo
