MDC 2008 United Way Campaign

For more than 40 years, Miami Dade College and the United Way of Miami have partnered together to address important and urgent needs in our community. This year, the College goal is to raise at least $95,000 in support of United Way and its Community Plan, which focuses on kids and families, health and independence, basic and emergency needs, and neighborhood and civic involvement.

When you make an unrestricted donation to the United Way of Miami, every $1.00 that you contribute generates $2.10 of matching resources. Last year, our community raised more than $50 million.

Your contributions make it possible to implement exciting and innovative programs like the Center for Excellence in Early Education, which is the latest successful partnership between the College, the United Way and several other community organizations.

Members of the MDC United Way Campaign Team will be contacting you during our campaign period of Oct. 1 to Nov. 16 to personally ask for your support in continuing the MDC-United Way partnership. In the meantime, you may donate online at www.mdc.edu/UnitedWay.

Thank you for your consideration in helping the less fortunate in our community.

Eduardo
