Another Book Fair success
For 25 consecutive years, Miami Book Fair International has transformed downtown Miami into an invigorating, literary melting pot. Instead of resting on its laurels, this year the Book Fair launched the Comix Galaxy for graphic novels and the Cultural Fringes Festival of affiliated performances around town.
The signature events shined with excellence, as crowds poured in to experience the Evenings With…series, Festival of Authors, and the beloved Street Fair. Did you see the children beaming with joy in the Children’s Alley? Their energy will certainly carry the Fair forward to its 50th anniversary.
Of course, this year’s success would not have been possible without very dedicated volunteers, staff and sponsors. Thank you especially to the executive director of the Florida Center for the Literary Arts, Alina Interián, who has been with the Book Fair for 17 years, and Delia López, director of operations for the Fair.
We can all be proud to be a part of the best literary fair in the nation.
