Message From the President

Happy Holidays

2008 has been a truly remarkable year. Once again our students, faculty and staff set a standard of achievement that drew well-deserved local and national acclaim. We have fulfilled our mission to serve our students and our community with great distinction.

MDC led the way in 2008 with our learning outcomes initiative, graduation and retention success, new technology, arts and culture and so much more. We were also witness to extraordinary events well beyond the College, many of which are sure to affect our efforts in 2009. We can expect challenges and opportunities in abundance, and if the past year is any indication, we will find the necessary determination and creativity to succeed.

I would like to thank the faculty, staff and students for your contributions to MDC's continued advancement in 2008. Your energy and commitment have allowed us to make the most of these challenging economic times and will open the door to new possibilities in 2009.

Best wishes for a safe and peaceful holiday season. Let's make the most of this opportunity to relax and enjoy the holidays with family and friends.

Eduardo
